Recipe: 00305 Title : Chocolate Chip ookies Author: Rimon Orni Date : August 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ 2+1/4 cups flour \ 1 tsp baking soda > blend together 1 tsp salt / 1 cup butter (or 200g, or two sticks) \ 3/4 cup packed brown sugar \ blend together and mix 3/4 cup white sugar / until smooth 1/2 tsp water / 2 eggs > Add to butter+sugar mixture and blend in Add mixture to butter+sugar+etc and mix until absorbed. 2 cups chocolate chips (or 200g) \ 1 cup chopped nuts (or 100g. Pecan preferred > Add to batter and but walnuts are fine. ) / mix in Note: The origianl recipe had vanilla in it. I use vanilla flavored white sugar (just keep regular sugar in a jar with a vanilla stick) so I don't remember how much vanilla you should put in). Put spoonfuls on a baking sheet, a couple of inches apart from each other (using a nonstick sheet or somthing to make sure they don't stick). Bake for about 10 minutes at 375o (medium high). Important: If you like the cookies chewy (as I think they should be) and not on the hard side, do not wait for them to be completely firm before taking them out of the oven. Take them out when they are starting to brown or look done at the edges. Loosen them gently from the sheet (they're a bit fragile at this point). By the time they cool off, they will be firm enough to dump into a cookie jar, but still nice and chewy. I'm afraid these instructions are a bit ad-hoc, but I'm sure you'll understand at most after the first batch. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- _________________________________________________________________________
