Recipe: 00212 Title : Chocolate Supreme Cake Author: Gail J. Date : July 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ 3c sifted all purp flour 1-1/2 teasp vanilla extract 2 teasp baking powder 1c milk 1/2 teasp salt 3/4c choc syrup 1c butter or margarine 1/4 teasp baking soda 2c sugar 1/4 teasp almond extract 3 eggs Grease bottom of 10-in tube pan (don't get any grease on sides or center!). Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter in large mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar; cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla extract to milk. Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Blend well after each addition. Pour 2/3 of batter into pan. Into remaining batter, blend chocolate syrup, soda and almond extract. Pour chocolate batter over vanilla batter. DO NOT MIX. Bake at 350F for 65-70 min until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. DO NOT INVERT. Cool completely in pan.
