Recipe: 00193 Title : Chocolate 'n' Chip Cake Author: Doreen Randal Date : June 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ 250g butter 1 cup white sugar 1 cup sieved brown sugar 4 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence 2 cups plain flour 3/4 cup S.R. flour 1/2 cup cocoa 2 tsp cinnamon 3/4 baking soda pinch salt 3/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup milk 3/4 cup chocolate chips Pre-heat oven to 160 C. Grease a 26cm round cake tin. Line the base with greaseproof paper and butter the inner layer. Cream the butter gradually with the white and brown sugars, then beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well. Add the essence. Sift both flours, cinnamon, baking soda, cocoa, and salt. Fold into the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream and milk. Fold in chocolate chips. Turn into tin and bake 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 hrs.
