Recipe: 00159 Title : Congo Bars Author: Shel Belinkoff Date : June 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ 2/3 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled 1 lb light brown sugar 3 eggs 2 3/4 cups flour 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup (6 oz) real, good quality chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts -------------------- Mix the butter, brown sugar and eggs together. Then mix the flour, baking powder and salt together and add it to the egg mixture. Mix well to incorporate and add the chocolate chips and walnuts. Spread it all out in a well greased 10 X 15 X 1 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
