Recipe: 00078 Title : Chocolate Snickerdoodles Author: Sheri Thomasson Date : May 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ 2-1/4 c sugar 2 t pumpkin pie spice 1/2 c cocoa powder 1 c butter/marg, softened 2 eggs 2 t vanilla extract 2-1/4 c flour 1-1/2 t baking powder In large mixer bowl, stir together sugar and spice; set 1/2 cup of the mixture aside in shallow bowl. Add cocoa powder to mixer bowl; stir to blend. Add butter; beat at medium speed until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder. Form 1 tablespoon of dough into ball and roll in reserved sugar mixture. Repeat procedure with remaining dough and place 2 inches apa?greased cookie sheets. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
