Recipe: 00037 Title : Chocolate Cheesecake Author: Date : April 1995 _________________________________________________________________________ ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.06 Title: Chocolate cheesecake Categories: Cakes Servings: 1 Crust 1 c Sugar 2 c Chocolate wafer crumbs 5 Eggs, large 5 tb Melted butter 2 oz (2 squ) semisw choco, melt Filling Frosting 3 Pkg (8oz) cream cheese, at 6 oz (6squ) semisw choco, melte Room temp 1/2 c Sour cream 1.to prepare curst, in a med bowl, mix tog chocolate crumbs and melted butter til well blended. press into 9" springform pan 2. preheat over to 300 3. to prepare filling, in large bowl, beat tog cream cheese, sugar and eggs at med speed till smooth and fluffy. spoon half of cream cheese mixture into crust 4. stir chocolate into rem cream cheese mixtue till well blended. drizzle over batter in crust to make swirls 5. bake cheesecake for 50 mins. transfer pan to a wire rack. cool completely. 6. transfer cheesecake to a serving plate, cover with plastic wrap, chill for 2 hours 7. uncover cheesecake, carefully remove the side of pan. 8. to prepare frosting, in sm bowl mix tog chocolate and sour cream. spead over cheesecake. chill briefly till frosting is set. cheesecake can be made 2 to 3 days in advance and kept, covered with platic wrap in the frige. or the cake can be frozen for up to 3 weeks. defrost before serving. -=-=-=-=-=-=-= _________________________________________________________________________
