If you make a typing mistake, use the BACKSPACE key to back the cursor up, and correct the error. When you've finished entering your message, press the ENTER key. If your message comes out to exactly 14 characters, REMIND automatically "presses the ENTER key" for you when you type the 14th char- acter. You change the message by using REMIND again to put a different message on the status line. 3. You use REMIND to clear the message from the status line. TO CHANGE YOUR "REMINDER" MESSAGE: Just run REMIND again from the command prompt, and type in your new message. The new message will automatically replace the old one. TO CLEAR YOUR "REMINDER" MESSAGE: From the command prompt, run REMIND with the command line argument C or /C (REMIND C or REMIND /C). Either an upper- case or a lower-case "c" may be used. Note: If you invoke the program with any command line argument other than C or /C, REMIND will totally ignore it, and will present you with the normal text entry screen, shown above. If, after invoking REMIND, you change your mind and decide that you DON'T want to put a message on the status line after all, just press the ENTER key without typing in any text. REMIND will immediately abort, and return you to the CP/M-86 command prompt. REMIND.CMD is free. As is always the case with "freeware," there are no guarantees whatsoever.
