TURBO Version 0.0 - XT Turbo Speed Switcher Freeware from Kirk Lawrence TURBO will switch many generic turbo XT clones to turbo speed (8, 10 or 12 MHz., depending upon the individual machine). If your computer re- quires the keypress combination CTRL-ALT- to enable turbo speed, then chances are that TURBO will probably work with your machine. For greatest convenience, put TURBO into your "power-on command line" (use the CP/M-86 "SETUP" utility). This will cause the machine to be switched to turbo speed "automatically" each time the computer is booted. NOTE: TURBO can't switch your computer back and forth between fast and slow processor speeds. TURBO can only switch turbo mode ON. If your XT is hardware-jumpered so that it boots up at turbo speed, then invoking TURBO will switch the machine to "non-turbo" (4.77 MHz.) speed. TURBO.CMD is free. As is always the case with "freeware," there are no guarantees whatsoever. If you use the program, you do so entirely at your own risk and peril. Your use of TURBO.CMD shall be prima facie evidence under law that you understand and accept these terms and conditions.
