FINDROM - Version 0.0 [For CP/M-86 on IBM-compatibles] Finds The Memory Addresses Of System ROM Freeware from Kirk Lawrence FINDROM finds, and displays on the screen, the memory addresses of any ROM BIOS chips present in the system. When ROM is found, FINDROM also displays a snippet of any readable text contained in that ROM. Certain hardware peripheral cards -- such as video adaptors, hard disk controllers, etc. -- often contain an on-board ROM BIOS chip. Knowing the addresses of such ROM can be useful to the technically-inclined computernik for a number of reasons...which needn't be enumerated here. FINDROM's display of readable text from each ROM location is also a handy way to quickly identify the purpose of the ROM that was found. FINDROM.CMD is free. As is always the case with "freeware," there are NO guarantees. If you use the program, you do so entirely at your own risk and peril. Your use of FINDROM.CMD shall be prima facie evidence under law that you understand and accept these terms and conditions.
