SCAN23A.NEW - 11/10/90

SCAN23A has been released to correct several minor but annoying
bugs found in SCAN23.  No other changes have been made.

1.  A bug in the library directory display routine caused the
     number of members displayed to be limited to 256.  Larger
     library directories are now completely displayed.

2.  A bug that crept into version 2.2 caused SCAN to hang up when
     trying to read an empty file.  An empty file now correctly
     displays an empty screen.

Although included in this library for completeness, all SCAN23
documentation remains unchanged, except for the version number.
If you already have SCAN23.LBR, just take SCAN23A.CZM, which is
the only new file (other than this one and SCAN23A.FOR file, of
course.)

SCAN23BG.LBR has not been updated (SCAN23BG.COM is still version
2.3), but the overlay in SCAN23BG.LBR remains correct and may
still be used to configure SCAN23A.COM to use BGii-type commands.
