VDO vers. 2.5(b) (c)1985 James H. Whorton 1. Overview VDO (Video Display Oriented) Editor is a small (7k) ASCII file full screen editor designed for use under CP/M 2.x. Portions of this software are (c)1982 by Creative Software and F.W. Schneider. This software is NOT public domain, but has been released for non-profit distribution and use. Use of this software for profit in any manner is prohibited without the express written consent of the author. This is revision 2.5(b), a revision which consists of an updated object file incorporating patches #1-#4, the latest revision (E) of the VTERM.DAT file and the VINST11 installation files, plus all documentation files, making this a complete distribution package for the new or old VDO user. The changes that occured in version 2.5(a) include the following: - Support for terminals not featuring line insert/delete. - Expanded terminal definitions. - Default drive logging. - Default drive directory display. - Revised menu structure. - Adjustable help level and help menus. - Added support for hiliting, for terminals that support it. - Implemenation of a 128 byte type-ahead buffer. This distribtuion library should contain the following files: VDO25B.OBJ VDO25B.NOT VDO25B.MQN VINST11.OBJ VPATCH10.OBJ VPATCH10.MQN VTERM-E.DAT VTERM-E.NOT If any of thses files are missing, contact the person you obtained the file from or the author. The changes in v2.5(b) include an updated VTERM.DAT file (E), an object file that has been patched with the patches (#1-#4) that are part of VPATFILA.LBR and a revised manual.
