NPDEMO.DOC

     NewPrint  supports  two  sets  of  94  alternate  characters 
through  the  use of user-installable  translation  tables.   One 
table  might be installed to print a standard set  of  characters 
such  as the IBM extended characters.  For example, here  is  the 
^P^[  custom print control installed for the IBM set (all  except 
the line-drawing characters):

     The other translation table might be installed to support  a 
terminal-specific  character  set for use with  a  NewWord  patch 
which  provides  on-screen  display  of  a  terminal's  alternate 
character set while editing a document using the strikeout  print 
control.  For example, here is the ^P^X toggle installed for  the 
Morrow MT-70 alternate character set:
