INSTALLING A TERMINAL All versions of this package are available for CPM computers with at least a 52K TPA. The CPM system is furnished with an ADM3A terminal installed. This is the most common denominator for CPM computers. A terminal installation named TUGINST.COM is included. It uses a file called TINST.DTA which describes other terminals. We recommend you invoke the TAX system before installing a terminal. If it does not look right, you can exit immediately by typing "Z". If the screen does not look right, you will need to use the terminal installation package. Before doing that you should enter DIR *.COM and note the file names. You will need to install the terminal on all programs except TUGINST.COM The terminal program is on the program disk. Simply type TUGINST Our copyright notice will be displayed followed by a brief summary telling how the program functions. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a message telling you to type any key to return to the menu. The main menu will display "TERMINAL MENU No terminal selected" across the top of the screen and the following options across the bottom of the screen: S(elect Used to select a terminal type D(isplay Displays terminal options with a terminal selected E(dit Lets you create your own terminal by changing options T(est lets you see how the selected terminal will look on your screen I(nstall Installs the terminal you selected in the programs you name. H(elp Provides complete online help on using the system. M(ainMenu Returns to the operating system when finished. We strongly suggest you start with H)ELP When you have selected a terminal, tested it and select the I)nstall option, you will be asked "Ready to install (Y/N)?" Selecting "N" will return you to the terminal menu. If you select "Y" you will be asked for the primary name of the program. Type the names of the programs you noted above. Do not include the ".COM". Repeat the process for all programs. If you have a Depreciation package, there is a separate copy of TUGINST on it.
