Documentation for XLCAT.COM Version 1.0 August 5, 1985 XLCAT is a utility designed for use with Paul Nance's LCAT Disk Cataloging Program, version 1.3. XLCAT is loosely based on XCAT ((C) Irv Hoff), the Public Domain Catalog Cross Reference Utility. XCAT is a companion file for the program MCAT.COM, and provides a cross referenced listing of the filenames which appear in the catalog and the disk numbers on which those files appear. XLCAT provides the same function for the MASTL.CAT that the program XCAT provides for the MAST.CAT. XLCAT has been specificallly configured for use with the MASTL.CAT file produced by LCAT (version 1.3). I will not work correctly if used on any other list. XLCAT is written in assembly language for speed of execution. Because there are no user settable equates in XLCAT, the source code is not being released at this time. Hope you find it to be of use.
