QBBS AS SHAREWARE

    QBBS, version 4, is now released as a shareware product.  Previous
    versions were released without restrictions.  

    The shareware concept will be implemented as follows:

    QBBS (QRUN 4.04) and associated files will be made available for 
    downloading by the public.  There are no restrictions to acquire and/or 
    use these files.  For a goodwill contribution of $35.00 one will have 
    access to updates and support. Contributors will have access to the 
    QBBS Support BBS (File #6) on the Glendale Litera QBBS at 818/956-6164 
    (1200,2400 bps - PC/Pursuit accessible) and also to restricted areas 
    where the QBBS updates are found.  Updates will NOT be placed in a 
    public area for downloading.  Only the initial QBBS4 release will be 
    public.  Sysops who download updates should NOT place them in a public 
    area.  Sysops who place updates in a public area for downloading will 
    lose their favored status on the QBBS Support BBS (i.e. no more updates 
    will be made available to them).

    Commercial users of QBBS4 and/or fee based systems must pay $35.00 per
    copy used whether they plan on utilizing updates or not.

    The QBBS libraries (QBBS4-A.LBR and QBBS4-B.LBR) must be distributed
    intact including this file (SHARWARE.MSG).
