QCHAT FOR QBBS SYSTEMS 07/16/86 Lawrence Davis QCHAT is designed specifically for the QBBS system. It will optionally save your chat session to disk and will chain directly to QRUN comment mode if the sysop is not available. QCHAT checks the BYE5 bell byte and if on will page the sysop for thirty seconds. If no answer the caller will have the option of leaving private comment to the sysop. If the sysop has turned off the bell then the private comment option is displayed immediately. The sysop should answer the chat page using the ESCape key. During the chat session the line length is set at 70 characters. At the first space after 63 characters, a new line will be generated. Only the sysop can terminate the chat session. This is done using ^Q which will allow the sysop to optionally save the session to disk. Note that the 'Save CHAT session?' prompt will display only to the sysop. QCHAT02 requires QRUN387E or later to function as designed. If an earlier version of QRUN is used then the private comment function will go to the full QBBS instead of the comment option.
