JUMBLE12.LBR - Update 6-Jul-87 by Keith Petersen, W8SDZ, of JUMBLE11. Revised to run on MBASIC 5.x. This is the edited original DOC from JUMBLE11: JUMBLE.BAS is used for doing the jumble in the educational sections of the newspapers. It originally was for six characters only, then modified to take a maximum of 11 and a minimum of 3. Then modified to hopefully run under Mbasic rev 4.51. In the process I found programing errors (my fault) that were doing a lot of error checking that wasn't necessary. This was removed and the program is about 2 days faster on 11 characters. Hope someone runs the program for the full 11 characters and lets me know if it works ok or not and let me know any changes necessary. 11 was chosen because not too many, if any are over that amount - I have run into only one. This could be increased to more with few changes and still run fairly fast (good candidate for the new Mbasic compiler). At least it would make it much faster. By the way, the question on character separation is from the first character to the next one. ex: entering a 1 will printout for bennymiller b ennymiller enter a 5 then get benny miller Have fun and challenge your friends. You still have to know what a word is when looking at it... JUMBLE.BAS is for Mbasic and it works!!! Finally. Ben Miller 703 French Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43228
