December 10/90

     There were a number of problems with the release version  of
PBBS  5.0  which  was  released  on  October  09/90.   The   file
PBBS50.FIX  explains  the changes which need to be  made  to  the
PBBS50.MAC,  PMNT50.MAC  and PMSG50.MAC modules  to  correct  the
problems that have been reported so far.
 
     If the copies of all these programs (PBBS50.MAC,  PMNT50.MAC
and  MSG50.MAC) within  your  distribution  library  PBBS-50.LBR)
show  the  date  December 10/90 (using LDIR or  LUX),   then  our
library already contains the correct files and no further  action
need be taken.

     These changes will fix all known bugs (as of December 10/90)
in  version 5.0 of PBBS.  If you know of any more, please  report
them to me as soon as possible.

Note to Sysops:
     Please  update the PBBS-50 library with these files,  adding
PBBSFIX.TZT  and PBBS50.FZX.  Please ensure that all added  files
carry the date December 10/90, so that the updated library can be
differentiated  from the original release library, dated  October
09/90.   Alternately, a new release library,  named  PBBS-50A.LBR
will be soon made available which contains corrected versions  of
all  the PBBS modules.  Thank you for your co-operation  in  this
matter and for your support and assistance in the distribution of
all PBBS related products.
