PCPI RAM DISK INSTALLATION The RAM disk driver has been successfully installed in both A CPM 2.2 ver 2.0, with and without ZCPR3. If your not using ZCPR3, then by all means convert. It is a spectular enhance- ment to the standard operating system supplied by PCPI. Nuff said about ZCPR3. Install the driver in the same manner as you installed all of the other drivers. Just read it in and write the modified drivers file out to the disk. Simple!... If all else fails, there is allways the manual. ** WARNING ** The Ram disk alocates 59k of storage (drive D:) to the 6502 main memory space. If you have the printer buffer installed, you must be cautious. If you dump a large file, (40k+), to the buffer, you might overwrite the RAM Disk. I actually don't know what happens, except that if you access one of the programs in the space, the system will hang. The printing continues until done without loss of data though, so I really don't mind. I can allways reload the RAM disk, but it is hard to reload the BUFFER! Under most circumstances, there is never a problem, and the driver performs without diff- iculty.
