If this whole thread is nothing but the result of an extremely stupid prank of yours, you deserve a good swift kick in the nuts. You know, I've been on the net for quite a while now. Seen a lot of things happen, a lot of changes made. I've seen grown men reduced to tears by a simple set of keystrokes. I've witnessed mass trollings, Great Renamings, turkey trotting, I've seen love blossom and hate flourish. I've seen bacon smoked, Kibo grepped, and a certain pair of lawyers incite and anger many. I've watched a.s.t attacks, seen Babs Abernathy's middle-finger castle .sig too many times, I watched in helpless horror as Rhodes Scholars everywhere discover a secret to MAKE.MONEY.FAST. I've gone from a small Apple 2c computer with green monochrome monitor and 2400 baud modem to a 486sx and a 14.4 connection (so sue me if I'm not up to your times yet, boys.) During the days when alt.sweedish.chef.bork.bork.bork was considered an original way of naming a newsgroup, I was there. During Dan Gannon's rants on soc.college, I was there. During the midwest flooding, I was there. And sometimes, during the tumult and the chaos, I sit back and stare at the screen, and wonder, "is it all really worth it?" And then I see a post, a post not unlike yours, who HBT, hook, line, and sinker, and I sit back, open another Rugged Hill Amber Ale, and nod... yes, it's definitely worth it. Thank you, stow@skyfox, for making us laugh at life -- again. (oh, and by the way, I believe the newsgroup you're referring to is alt.stupidity. Hope this helps.) -- tv's Spatch, MD PhD PMS XYZ PDQ - Will make culinary references for food This Green Card .sig is here to piss off Canter and Siegel. Check out the Spatula Homepage! All new, all cool! http:// ... uh, http:// oh, wait. I don't have a homepage. Just remembered. Sorry.
