1. What's your name, and how do you spell it?

My full name is Kent Roger Lidström, and that IS the correct spelling, although I accept Lidstrom when abroad. Since I'm from Sweden I've used the opportunity to put two little dots over the 'o' in my last name, hence the 'ö' in Lidström.

During the years I've got many suggestions on how to spell my name. A couple of ways to spell my first name is Ken or Kenneth, and for my last name: Lidstron, Lidstone, Lidston, Lindström or Lindstrom (I don't understand why everyone wants to put in that extra 'n'). I have even (for some reason) been referred to as Kent Mossberg(?).

6. What have you been doing up to now?

I spent the years between 1988 and 1995 in Lund, Sweden, where I (for the most of the time) studied at the Computer Science Department at Lund University where I took my Masters Degree. When I wasn't studying I was either working as a lab-assistant at Mörrums Bruk (a paper pulp mill in Blekinge), taking an odd trip to California, or just wasting my time surfing the Web.

After that I spent another year at UC Berkeley as a member of the Education Abroad Program, studying more Computer Science as a graduate student.

7. What are you doing now?

I have finally started working for a living. I am currently employed at Axis Communications in Lund, Sweden, where I work as a software engineer writing client software.

8. What are you interested in?

One of the biggest interests (apart from constructing HTML documents :-) ) is going to the movie theater (managed to see about 80 movies during my year in Berkeley). Science fiction (movies and all other aspects) is a rather big interest, and especially the Star Trek universe.

Another interest is photography. I'm definitely not an expert, but I enjoy taking my camera and just go out shooting some pictures of the nature, cities, or just about anything. My favorite subjects are colors, water (preferable reflecting ones), cloud formations, and animals. I've made some of my pictures available on the Web.
