Important Professional Experiences

To Research & Develop:
- Research & development at SenseAir AB in Delsbo (Hälsingland), Sweden (http://www.senseair.se/). Full time position at the department of research & development. Work focus on test and analysis of development products. (From April 2007.)
- Medical technology work at Artema Medical AB in Sundbyberg (Stockholm), Sweden (http://www.artema.se/). Work by the hour with varying working tasks within medical technology research and development work. Mainly technical investigation, technical service and other technical/physical laboratory work. (June 2005 – April 2007; in total corresponding to approximately two and a half month of full-time work.)
- Development project at Perimed AB in Järfälla (Stockholm), Sweden (http://www.perimed.se/). Temporary work by the hour within a project developing an oxygen meter based on fluorescence technique. Main work tasks: test measurements using meter prototype, and data analysis. (December 2006.)
- Research & development practicum at Artema Medical. Varying working tasks within medical technology research and development projects: measurements in physics laboratory; extensive analysis and work with data; obtaining information, requesting quotations, and analyzing new technical components for development project; some technical service. (January 2005 – March 2005.)
- Research project called “Episodic memory studied with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)”, at the Department of Psychogeriatrics, Lund University Hospital, Lund, Sweden. Main task: construction of a new memory test applied to subjects during fMRI-scans. (February 2003 – May 2003.)
- Master project in physics (highest grade) was performed between January and September 2001, within the “medical group”, Division of Atomic Physics, Department of Physics, Lund Institute of Technology, Lund, Sweden. In the project I cooperated with Henrik Nilsson (engineering physicist), under supervision of Professor Stefan Andersson-Engels. The Master’s Thesis report, with the title A Study of Two-photon Excitation in Turbid Media – Possibilities in Photodynamic Therapy, is available on my website: http://www.df.lth.se/~daniel/reports/thesis_reports.html
- Bachelor project in psychology (highest grade) was performed between April and August 2002. The project was performed at the Department of Psychology, Lund University, Lund, Sweden, in collaboration with the Memory Clinic at the Department of Psychogeriatrics, Lund University Hospital, Lund, Sweden, under supervision of Doctor of Philosophy Christina Elfgren. The Bachelor’s Thesis report, with the title Cognitive Performance in Relation to Folate and Cobalamin Status in Nondemented Patients at a Memory Clinic, is available on my website: http://www.df.lth.se/~daniel/reports/thesis_reports.html
To Conduct Laboratory Work:
- I have spent numerous days (and some nights) performing experiments in a laboratory.
- The specialization of my education in physics is towards atomic physics. Within the limits of courses in atomic physics, the Master project included, considerable experience of laboratory work with lasers have been acquired.
To Report:
- About 100 laboratory reports, project reports, and alike have been written, most of them in physics.
To Lead, Organize & Administrate:
- President of Ölands skyttekrets (“Öland’s Shooting District”) from 2005.
- President of Källa/Persnäs skytteförening (“Källa/Persnäs Shooting Club”) from 2005 (Vice President 2001 – 2004).
- President of Källa/Persnäs ungdomsskytteförening (“Källa/Persnäs Youth Shooting Club”) 1994 – 2004.
- As President of Öland’s Shooting District, President and Vice President of Källa/Persnäs Shooting Club, and President of Källa/Persnäs Youth Shooting Club I have leading, organizing, and administrating responsibilities for usual running work as well as work with special arrangements, in these three non-profit-making associations.
- Deputy member, and member of and responsible for IT questions within the utbildningssektion (“Section for Education”), of the council of Kalmar läns södra skytteförbund (“Kalmar County’s Southern Shooting Federation”; http://www.kalmarsodraskytte.com/) from 2006.
- Deputy member of the council of The Computer Society at Lund University and Lund Institute of Technology (http://www.df.lth.se/) 2006 – 2007.

Other Professional Proficiencies

Computer skills: For several years, computers have been my main artificial working tool. I have experience from most prominent operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS); masters a large number of application programs for different use, and learning new ones fast; capable of writing code in C++, Pascal, MATLAB, and HTML; serving hardware for my own use as well as others.
Statistics: Within the framework of my degree project in psychology as well as a survey of the Memory Clinic at the Department of Psychogeriatrics at Lund University Hospital, Lund, Sweden, I have worked with treating, analysing, and interpreting statistics based on clinical data. (Mainly database input and statistical analysis of case records data, using the SPSS software.)

Personal

Characteristics: Open, helpful, responsible, humorous, rich in innovations, initiative taking, analytical, careful, and observant.
Leisure time: When not at work I like to spend a few hours at the shooting range, or playing a game of chess, except for the second weekend of June, when I every year visit Sweden Rock Festival!

Reached maximum score on the Swedish national university aptitude test (twice): 2.0 (out of 2.0).
